Deep pain š„ Deep joy: Creating rituals for going through the fire.
And for doing things that freak you out.
Luxury is to be able to take control of oneās life, health, and the pursuit of happiness in a way that is joyful.

Hello! I really hope you and your loved ones are doing well!
The 6th of January was my birthday. I got high and went to the lake, right up to the edge of the water. It was cold and dark and something about being that close to the waves, the intensity of the sounds, the feeling like I could be pulled in, it made me cry. The drama of it all.
These days, life demands that I sharpen my focus. Iām learning what that means as I look forward to a shift in cycles; the day when I can move to a peaceful home and have the stability Iāve wanted for a very long time.
The desires for those things literally feels like a fire, especially in the midst of big, heavy unanswered questions. I am practicing stillness and finding that fire can be used. It can burn away unwanted things, like the pity-victim-ennui type of self-talk, or a desire to be ārightā about everything.
I know I am not alone. So for this update, Iām sharing some of the rituals Iāve been using right now. Like, every day.
In a past episode of her Ghost of a Podcast podcast, Jessica Lanyadoo suggests turning everything into a ritual. I love this idea. We already do a bunch of things every day anyway, so turning daily activities into rituals is an accessible way to stay grounded and centred.

Fun with Rituals
One thing, a long time ago a psychic taught me to say āfor the highest good of allā whenever I did a ritual or prayer. So the idea here would be to end each ritual with stating that whatever youāre asking or praying for happens āfor the highest good of all concernedā.
Hand washing: This one comes from Jessica. Say a prayer affirming health and protection over yourself and your loved ones as you wash your hands. Sometimes Iāll ask for health and protection for everyone in the building I live in.
Drinking water: Take a glass of water and speak over it. Usually I ask it to clear my body and mind of anything that is inconsistent with what I want to build.
Using the bathroom: I got this one from Twitter. Basically, imagine everything unwanted, maybe a habit, a fear, or thought pattern, being⦠eliminated and flush it away.
Mid-day āØwardrobe changesāØ: Sometimes if Iām really not feeling it and my mood doesnāt respond to anything, I just change my clothes. But I call it a ⨠wardrobe changeāØĀ and pretend to be a new person when I leave my ⨠boudoirāØ.
Getting to work: Opening a computer is a very ritualistic act. Iāll say a short prayer for the people I work with. I ask that they make a lot of money and have peace in their lives. I bless my computer and the people I communicate with. Same for my phone.
Gratitude Survey: This oneās simple. Express some gratitude for your health every time you complete a Covid survey. I really get into praising the strength in my lungs and body, the fact that I can take a deep, clear breath. Itās such a simple and easy way to really tap into the feeling of gratitude, and that has a lot of power.
AshƩ!

Some New Tings
Iām doing two things that kind of freak me out. The first is changing my business to focus in on working for spiritualists, intuitives, readers, and woo-woo folks exclusively. If you want to learn more, my services page is here.
The second is offering tarot readings! For $15 Iāll flex my skills on career or general life questions. For a sample, check out my general reading for February 2022 here. The overall I picked up on was about hustling as a way to run from whatās scary, so this reading addressed that. Fun!
These things are very much in the realm of the unknown for me. But they feel right, so: forge ahead.

Thatās all for today. I saw this (šš¾) online and it made me smile and then cry. It reminded me that Iām safe no matter what, and to not take everything so seriously. š
